Empowering Massage Therapists through Continuing Education

For more than twenty years, massage therapy has been the thread that has carried me through healing, transformation, and purpose. My path into this profession wasn’t linear or easy—it was shaped by resilience, reinvention, and the deep belief that the body holds stories that deserve to be heard.

 

I began practicing massage therapy in 2005, after graduating from the American University of Healing Arts. From the very beginning, I fell in love with this craft—the anatomy, the intuition, the connection, the way touch can shift someone’s entire relationship with their body. By 2010, I earned my Master Massage Therapist license and became determined to create a long, meaningful career in this field.

But the journey had its challenges.

 

In 2006, a major auto accident changed the trajectory of my life. I developed PTSD, lived with chronic pain, and learned firsthand what injuries and burnout can do to a therapist’s body mechanics and emotional well-being. There were moments I wasn’t sure how—or even if—I would continue in this profession.

 

That season of recovery became a turning point.
I leaned heavily into alignment, body mechanics, nervous-system regulation, meditation, yoga, and the deep internal work required to heal trauma. Between 2016 and 2021, I earned certifications as a Yoga Teacher, Yomassage Practitioner, Meditation Teacher, and several others—not as résumé fillers, but as lifelines that rebuilt me from the inside out.

Through that healing came a powerful clarity:

• Massage therapists need more than techniques.

• We need longevity.

• We need boundaries.

• We need alignment that protects us—not injures us.

• We need sustainable careers, not survival.

This clarity is what led me to create the Longevity & Legacy Continuing Education Series, with even more courses rolling out in 2026.
